Two Mechanistic Families
This category spans GHRH analogues acting on the growth hormone releasing hormone receptor, and ghrelin receptor agonists acting on GHS-R1a. Gonadotropins are grouped here as a separate endocrine axis.
DAC vs Non-DAC
CJC-1295 with DAC carries a drug affinity complex that substantially extends its half-life relative to the non-DAC form (Mod GRF 1-29). Both are stocked because protocols differ in the exposure profile they require.
Selectivity Differences
Ipamorelin is the most selective of the ghrelin receptor agonists in published receptor binding studies. GHRP-6 shows the strongest appetite-related signalling. These differences are the usual basis for compound selection.
