Receptor Agonist Classes
This group spans GLP-1 receptor agonists, dual GLP-1/GIP agonists, triple GLP-1/GIP/glucagon agonists, and amylin analogues. Receptor coverage is the primary distinction between them and determines which research questions each compound suits.
Newer Agonists
Retatrutide, Survodutide, and Mazdutide are more recent entrants with broader receptor coverage than earlier single-target agonists. Cagrilintide acts on amylin receptors and is commonly studied alongside an incretin agonist; Cagrisema supplies both in one vial.
Storage Sensitivity
Larger peptide agonists in this class are sensitive to freeze-thaw cycling. Reconstitute only the volume required and avoid repeated temperature transitions.
